Zachary Skaggs
Zachary Skaggs was named the Special Olympics Athlete of the Month at Monday?s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon.
Skaggs recently played in the tennis tournament at the Special Olympics Northern Regional Games in Santa Maria. He?ll next play at a tournament in Santa Clarita before competing in the Fall Games in Orange County in early December.
?He?s skillful at moving the ball around the court and has a consistent serve,? said Liz Frech, a tennis coach with Santa Barbara Special Olympics. ?Above all, he is a team player.?
Skaggs has been competing in Special Olympics competitions for 21 years. His other favorite sport is basketball.
Skaggs has worked at the law office of Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber, Schreck for the last 18 years.
