L.A. Mission scored a goal in the last minute on Friday to edge SBCC 2-1 in a WSC men’s soccer match at the Balboa Sports Complex in Encino.
Jelan Hutton put the Vaqueros (8-7, 8-5) ahead in the third minute off a corner kick by Adam Colton. The Eagles (7-6-4, 7-3-2) tied it at 1 with a goal in the eighth minute.
“It was a very warm day and we didn’t play well,” said coach John Sisterson. “We were a little flat. We played better in the second half and had several chances to take the lead.”
The Vaqueros travel to Citrus on Tuesday for a 1 p.m. game.
