Omar Montalvo and Kieron Coleman each had a goal and an assist on Friday, sparking SBCC to a 3-1 men’s soccer victory at Santa Monica.
Jamie Sporcic got the second-place Vaqueros (10-7, 10-5 WSC) going with a goal in the 35th minute after Montalvo won the ball at midfield and delivered a sharp through-ball.
It was the fourth goal in two games for Sporcic, who leads the team with 11 goals.
Coleman made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute by heading in a long throw-in from Jelan Hutton.
After the Corsairs (11-5-3, 9-4-1) cut the lead to 2-1 in the 62nd minute, SBCC got an insurance goal when Kieron Coleman fed Montalvo and he used his left foot to score in the corner.
SBCC completes its season on Tuesday with a 3 p.m. game at Moorpark.
