FULLERTON — Westmont outside hitter Madison Serrano released an offensive onslaught on Saturday night in Fullerton, leading the Warriors to a sweep (25-17, 25-18, 25-21) over Hope International. The junior connected for 18 kills on 32 attempts with just one attack error, resulting in a .531 attack percentage.
The win brought to an end a three-game losing streak and improved the Warriors’ record to 15-5 overall and 3-4 in Golden State Athletic Conference play. Hope International fell to 5-14 overall and 1-6 in conference.
As a team, Westmont produced a .383 attack percentage – committing just nine errors in 94 attempts while tallying 45 kills. Alexa Nestlerode and Heidi Thompson combined for 37 assists. Serrano led the Warriors in digs with 10.
