The San Marcos boys cross country team placed second out of 34 teams at the 29th annual Santa Clarita Invitational on Saturday.
Ryan Sorensen led the Royals with a third-place finish in 15:16. Eric Salas came in 12th with a time of 15:43.
The San Marcos girls finished seventh, with Adilene Aldapa taking top team individual honors with a fourth-place finish. Her time was 18:18.
