The Sacramento Kings will welcome all local media as well as UCSB students to an open practice on Thursday at the Recreation Center on campus beginning at 2 p.m.
The Kings, who opened training camp at UCSB on Monday, are led by first-year head coach Michael Malone. Among the personnel on hand for camp is Director of Athletic Development Chip Schaefer, who spent the last two years as the Gauchos’ Director of Sports Performance.
Some of the players taking part in the practice session will include former Kentucky All-American DeMarcus Cousins, former Kansas All-American Ben McLemore, former BYU All-American Jimmer Fredette and former UCLA star Luc Mbah a Moute.
In addition to the open practice, the Kings will put on shooting contests for UCSB students.
