Top-ranked Carpinteria rolled to a 17-1 girls tennis win over Santa Clara on Thursday. The Warriors used several players in the Frontier League match.
"We were able to completely rest some of our players or have them play in a limited roletoday, so it worked out well," coach Charles Bryant said. "It was fun for us to see somenew faces making their first varsity appearances."
Among them was Jackie Wilson, who went 3-0 and only dropped one game in singles. Her sister, Kathryn Blair, went 2-0 as did Alondra Costilla. Carpinteria is now 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the Frontier League
