Top-seeded Mattea Kilstofte of Santa Barbara breezed through the first two rounds of the Channel League individual tennis tournament at San Marcos on Monday.
Kilstofte, a junior who has been a league runner-up the past two years, defeated Katja Godebu of Ventura, 6-0 6-0, and teammate Gabrielle Goss, 6-0, 6-1. She’ll face Renee Handley in one semifinal match on Tuesday.
The other semifinal will feature Santa Barbara’s Madison Hale, the No. 2 seed, against No. 3 Katie Yang of Dos Pueblos. Hale defeated Zoe Desario of Ventura, 6-0, 6-0, and Buena’s Maija Saarinen, 6-3, 6-4. Yang knocked off Aanavi Karandikar of San Marcos, 6-0 6-0, and Chloe Shott of DP, 6-0, 6-2.
The singles semifinals will be played at 3 p.m. at San Marcos.
