Santa Barbara High wrapped up a perfect Channel League girls tennis season with a 16-2 win over San Marcos on Thursday. It was the 68th straight league for the Dons.
Senior Hailey deBoer did not lose a game in her three singles matches to pace Santa Barbara (11-2, 8-0)
“I was pleased with the way our entire team remained focused throughout the entire match,” Dons coach Greg Tebbe said. “Our girls know we have a big match on Saturday against Corona del Mar (ranked No. 4 in CIF Division 1) and today was a good opportunity to generate some momentum going into that match.”
The match against Corona del Mar is at 9:30 a.m. at the SBHS courts.
