Kelsey Gellert earned medalist honors for the first time, and San Marcos won its 10th girls golf match with a 235-277 win over Santa Ynez on Tuesday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
“Kelsey did a great job leading us with her overall score, her commitment to the team and enthusiasm for the game of golf,” San Marcos coach Sarah Ashton said. “She continues to improve and I am so pleased to see her as a first-time medalist today.”
San Marcos improves to 10-1. The Royals’ next match is against unbeaten Dos Pueblos on Thursday.
