In the last match of the season, Carly Parsons won medalist honors, and Carpinteria defeated host Fillmore for its first victory, 312-333.
“As coach Jasper Mallard said, “Their hard work ethic showed today in their overall improvement that allowed them to get the win. We are so proud of them,” said coach Chris Gahan.
It was especially sweet for Parsons, the team captain.
“She had shared with me before we left that she had set that goal (of being a match medalist) as this was her last team match of her senior year,” said Gahan.
