As expected, Bishop Diego fell to No. 2 and Oak Park took over the top ranking in the latest CIF Northwest Division football poll.
The Eagles (8-1) knocked off previously top-ranked Bishop Diego, 42-28, at La Playa Stadium on Saturday night to make it two wins in a row against undefeated teams in the Tri-Valley League. The previous week they beat Nordhoff, 23-3.
Bishop was the No. 1 team since the preseason poll.
Bishop (7-1) plays at third-ranked Nordhoff (7-1) for second place in the Tri-Valley League and an automatic playoff berth.
Carpinteria (6-2) is seventh in the division. The Warriors return home after four weeks on the road and play Santa Paula on Friday night.
In the Western Division, Dos Pueblos fell out of the rankings after losing to Ventura, and Lompoc dropped a spot to fourth even after scoring a 64-3 win over Santa Ynez. St. Francis (8-0) moves into the third slot after its 44-14 win over Harvard Westlake
In eight-man football, fourth-ranked Thacher and No. 5 Cate meet for the Condor League championship on Satureday. Laguna Blanca is at No. 8 in the poll.
