LA MIRADA — Biola’s Daniel Chew recorded a hat trick in just 19 minutes, lead the Eagles to a 4-1 win over Westmont in a GSAC soccer match on Saturday.
“It was certainly a disappointing game for us,” said Westmont assistant coach Johnny Whallon. “We clearly did not secure the start that we wanted and quickly found ourselves in a hole that was hard to climb out of.”
Westmont falls to 6-4 and 2-2 in the GSAC while Biola is 8-2-1 and 2-2
“After the third goal we righted the ship defensively,” explained Whallon. “We made a couple of changes in the second half that were good lifts for us, but it was hard to claw back in at that point.”
The lone goal for the Warriors came in the 58th minute when Nana Akyen netted a ball from 15 yards out for his third score on the year.
