Brandie Harris notched her second hat trick in four games on Friday, guiding SBCC to a 4-1 women’s soccer victory at L.A. Valley. The temperature reached 105 degrees in Valley Glen and 114 degrees on the field, according to coach John Sisterson.

Harris scored in the 15th minute on an assist from Samantha Maxwell. Lauren Dickson made it 2-0 in the 20th minute after taking a pass from Jackie Holmer.

Valley got on the board in the 68th minute. Harris collected her second goal in the 76th minute on an assist from Chiara Kehl, then got her hat trick for the Vaqueros (2-2) in the 83rd minute with Maddie Shaw providing the helper.

“It was a hot, hot day and we used all our players,” said Sisterson. “We did a nice job of bouncing back after two losses to highly ranked teams last week.”
