SBCC’s Zach Arnell
Zack Arnell has been named Defensive Player of the Week by the American Pacific Conference.
The 6-3 freshman free safety from Rancho Bernardo High in San Diego intercepted two passes, including one that he returned 35 yards for a touchdown in the Vaqueros? 47-10 win over East L.A. He also had five tackles and two pass breakups.
SBCC is 2-0 and the defense has only allowed one TD in each game.
The Vaqueros travel to Compton on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
