Quarterback Stephen McCaffery threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another in the first half, leading Laguna Blanca’s eight-man football team to a 51-6 victory over visiting Hillcrest Christian on Saturday.
The Owls’ offense was clicking from the start as it built a 45-6 advantage by halftime.
Andrew Vignolo scored three times, twice on passes from McCaffery and on a 1-yard run. Quentin Tedesco led a solid running game with 71 yards on eight carries. Robert Estrada-Hernandez rushed for 60 yards on seven carries and scored Laguna’s final touchdown in the second half.
Pierce O’Donnell also scored for the Owls on a 43-yard pass from McCaffery.
Laguna Blanca is 1-1.
