New players are stepping up and delivering for the Santa Barbara High girls volleyball team.
Hannah Seabury shared team honors with five kills on Wednesday night, helping the Dons sweep Newbury Park, 25-10, 25-20, 25-11.
“She came in and showed what she can do,” Santa Barbara coach John Gannon said of Seabury. “She played great.”
Seabury shared high kill honors with Tessa Dewell. Jackie Starnes served for aces for the Dons (4-0).
“It’s, fun to see the girls come together, playing really good volleyball. It’s fun to see them step into roles and come into their own at Santa Barbara High,” said Gannon.
The Dons head to San Jose on Saturday to play in the Archbishop MItty Tournament.
