San Marcos went unbeaten in its pool but stumbled in the first round of the playoffs at the Royal Girls Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.
San Marcos lost to Arcadia, 25-21 in the playoffs. It beat Simi Valley, Camarillo and Granada Hills in pool play.
“We had a tough time getting back into a rhythm for playoffs in a very loud gym. We learned a lot today,” said San Marcos coach Erica Downing.
Andie O’Donnell was named to the all tournament team.
“She set very well today and got all of our hitters involved. She also had a few aces.,” said Downing.
The Royals travel to Dos Pueblos for a Channel League match on Thursday.
