Setters Ellen Lempres and Brenna Geiger mixed up the attack, and Cate rolled to a 25-11, 25-19, 25-20 non-league girls volleyball win over Nordhoff on Wednesday.
“They’re both solid setters and the good thing is they’re running the middle a lot more,” said Cate coach Greg Novak.
Peyton Shelburne had 11 kills, Cydney Pierce added eight and Tamsyn Walker chipped in four to pace the Rams’ attack.
Cate (3-1) plays in the Carpinteria Tournament on Saturday.
