Bishop Diego opened Tri-Valley League volleyball play with a four-set win over Grace Brethren. The scores were 25-18 25-23, 23-25, 28-26.
Hanna Brand had a huge game for the Cardinals with 22 kills and 26 digs. Jackie McIntyre had 18 kills and 15 digs, and Judith Angulo added 10 kills.
Coach Jason Donnelly recognized the play of his setter.
“We got great play from our sophomore setter, Amara Parris. Her decision making was solid all night and she constantly found the hot hitter,” he said.
“This was a great win for us, one that we had to earn every step of the way,” Donnelly added.
Bishop is 2-1 overall.
