Bishop Diego couldn’t put away Villanova after winning the first two sets and lost in five sets in a non-league match Tuesday night. The scores were 23-25, 20-25, 25-12, 29-27, 15-4.
“We had our chances to win tonight, particularly in the fourth game,” Bishop coach Jason Donnelly said. “Unfortunately, Villanova played better when it mattered and we couldn’t get any momentum back.”
Hanna Brand had 12 kills and 15 digs and Erin Linehan picked up 24 digs.
The Cardinals are 2-3 on the season.
