Dos Pueblos had a tough time at Olivas Links in Ventura, but the Chargers shot well enough to beat Buena 220-273 in a Channel League girls golf match on Thursday.
“Yesterday I gave the girls their scorecards from last year and they were pretty amazed at their high scores from last year. This year they were better, but still we struggled,” DP coach Dan Choi said. “We need to work a bit on our course management on the road.”
Mika Henrickson of DP was the medalist with a 42. Megan Caird and Jamie Sharpe each shot 43s.
“Our sophomores did turn in a good performance all scoring in the low 40s. All our players were already talking about how to improve their scores for next year at Olivas,” said Choi.
Dos Pueblos improves to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in league. Buena is 0-2 in league.
