St. Joseph quarterback Curry Parham and Gabe Becerra accounted for four touchdowns on Friday in the Knights’ 47-7 route of visiting Santa Barbara High.
Parham connected with Gabe Becerra for two touchdowns through the air and rushed for two more TDs. Becerra added two second-half scores on the ground.
The Knights tooks a 19-0 lead when the Dons scored their touchdown on a 12-yard run by Roman Harper. The score was 26-7 at halftime.
Santa Barbara struggled to run the ball, averaging less than two yards a carry on 31 rushing attempts. Their biggest offensive play was a 58-yard catch and run from quarterback Brent Peus to Cheroke Cunningham.
The Dons (0-1) host a Saturday game next week against Beverly Hills. Kickoff at Peabody Stadium is at 3:30 p.m.
