Nico Martinez’s five RBI helped lead Goleta Valley South’s 10/11 All-Stars to a 15-1 victory over Foothill on Monday.
One of Martinez’s two hits was a home run. Jacob Galindo and Gabe Arteaga also recorded multi-hit games for GVSLL.
Brent Hyman, Martinez, Jack Winterbauer, and Arteaga shared pitching duties, limiting Foothill to four hits with nine strikeouts.
The team’s next game is Wednesday, with the winner of that game qualifying for the District 63 championship game on July 9.
