Dos Pueblos Little League Junior All-Stars opened the section tournament with a 14-1 rout over Conejo Valley on Saturday at Goleta Valley South LL.
DP broke the game open with nine runs in the second inning. Wyatt Boyle hit a bases-loaded single off the top of the center-field wall for a pair of RBIs and Jordan Barbieri-Low also had a bases-loaded single in the inning. Boyle went 3-for-4 and Low was 2-3 with a double. Daniel Willet and DJ Sharpe both went 2-fo-2. Sharpe scored three times and drove in two runs, while Willet had a RBI and a run scored once.
Conejo Valley got runners at second third with one out in the first inning, but DP starter Will Goodwin pitched out of the jam, inducing a ground ball to third and then striking out the next batter.
