The 9/10 Dos Pueblos All-Star Team rallied from three runs down on Monday to overcome Fillmore 9-8 in seven innings.
Cole Philip scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
DP took an early 5-1 lead before Fillmore’s seven-run fifth inning pushed them to an 8-5 advantage.
Conner Gleissner’s home run helped boost DP to the early lead. Dos Pueblos forced extra innings with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Jackson Greaney earned the win for pitching the final three innings, striking out the side in the top of the seventh inning.
The victory sends DP into Tuesday’s game against GVSLL with the District 63 championship on the line. Dos Pueblos would have to win Tuesday’s game and again on Wednesday to win the district title.
