Dos Pueblos Little League’s Junior All-Stars won their first game in pool play on Sunday, defeating Montalvo 13-1.
Three DP pitchers combined in the victory, with starter Will Goodwin providing the first three innings of work. Jed Donelan threw two scoreless innings and Jordan Barbieri-Low finished the sixth.
DJ Sharpe and Matt Nichols each recorded three hits, with Sharpe launching a home run in the first inning and driving home three runs total. Nichols finished with two RBI. Wyatt Boyle was 2-for-4 with two runs and two stolen bases.
Dos Pueblos hosts Carpinteria on Tuesday night in its next action.
