It?s time to stand together and fight for the youth of Santa Barbara!
On Saturday, July 6th Primo Boxing Club presents ?Fight for the Youth? at the Page Youth Center in the always-beautiful city of Santa Barbara.
Press Release by Shawn Morey
This is the first boxing event held to promote youth outreach programs within Santa Barbara County; however, we hope to build it into a community tradition. Our main objective is to raise awareness for a program designed to help children/teenagers and their families who?ve come across troubled times, persevere through them and do something positive with their time. Primo has been keeping at risk kids off the streets and giving them somewhere safe and inspiring to be seven days a week for almost three decades. Through this entire time the nonprofit?s one goal has always been to keep kids out of trouble and by doing so, put them on a path to a better life.
For this charity boxing event local boxers who have actually been training at Primo will show the city what their gym has given them. For three hours, those in attendance will get to watch young talented fighters leave it all in the ring. This gym has helped change each fighter?s life and now these fighters want to give their blood, sweat and tears to keep their gym alive.
Now we are looking to the community for support! Proceeds will help fund Primo Boxing?s ?Say Yes to Kids? Program and continue to better our community. Come out to support Primo Boxing and enjoy live non-stop action from start to finish!
Some featured fighters will include Bren O?Neal, Jairo Gonzalez, Julio Becerra, among others!
This event is open to all ages! For tickets, updated fight information, sponsorship opportunities and any donations can be found HERE.
Doors open at 5 p.m.
