The Santa Barbara Bronco All-Stars bounced back from two early losses and defeated Westlake, 4-2, to capture the Camarillo Baseball Tournament, its second tourney title of the spring.
The win avenged an earlier 4-3 loss against Westlake.
Chase Mayer opened the scoring in the final with an RBI double to right center scoring Jack Deardorff. Scott Feldman followed with a single, plating Mayer and giving Santa Barbara an early 2-0 lead. Zach Jensen took the mound and kept the Westlake hitters off balance all game. Jensen pitched five strong innings, allowing four hits and striking out two.
The score remained 2-0 until Westlake scored one run in the bottom of the fourth. Santa Barbara answered right back with two runs in the top of the fifth. Tommy Holguin led off the inning with a single, stole second and scored on a single by Feldman. Derek True drove in Feldman giving Santa Barbara a 4-1 lead.
Westlake scored a run in the bottom of the fifth, but Jackson Hamilton came on in relief and shut Westlake down to earn the save and give Santa Barbara the championship.

Feldman had a double and a triple with 3 RBIs and Jensen added two hits.
In its first game against Westlake, Santa Barbara trailed 4-3 and had runners on second and third with no outs in the fifth but was unable to score. In the top of the sixth, Santa Barbara loaded the bases with nobody out and were once again unable to score.
Santa Barbara earned the fifth seed out of seven teams in the playoffs and drew a rematch with the Camarillo in the single elimination round. Santa Barbara sent their ace Holguin to the mound and he did not disappoint. Holguin pitched six shutout innings, scattering four hits walking three and striking out six Camarillo batters to earn the 2-0 victory and send Santa Barbara to the semifinals. Holguin had an RBI triple and Chase Mayer had an RBI single.
Santa Barbara?s pitchers Mayer and Jensen combined for a 2-1 win over top-seeded Ventura. They allowed four hits and one earned run while striking out seven. Leadoff man Deardorff had two hits as did Dominic Roderick.
