Oaks Christian scored two runs in the sixth inning to beat Carpinteria on Thursday, coming from behind to record a 2-1 decision over the Warriors in a Tri-Valley League game.
Catalina Maldonado gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a home run and shut out the Lions for the first five innings.
But Oaks Christian broke through in the sixth with two hits, a stolen base and a passed ball.
Maldonado allowed three hits total. The infield of Teagan Singer, Elena Schneider, Erin Saito, Natalie Saito, Paulina Barbosa & Maldonado recorded 18 of the 21 outs without an error.
