Carpinteria dropped a 5-1 decision to Oak Park in the final regular season softball game of the season on Thursday.
The Warriors finish 11-13 overall and 1-11 in league.
Carpinteria scored its lone run on singles by Catalina Maldonado and Delaney Henderson in the third inning. Oak Park scored two in the second and three in the sixth.
“Though we did not have the kind of season we wanted, we played with great character, effort and togetherness to the finish,” Carpinteria coach Henry Gonzalez said. “This team is an amazing group of young ladies that we are proud to have in our Warrior program. I want to publicly say thank to all our seniors, especially Catalina Maldonado, Erin Saito and Elena Schneider, for the wonderful four years that they gave to our program.”
