Carpinteria’s boys volleyball team fell to Godinez in Monday’s CIF wild-card match 25-23, 25-22, 23-25, 25-11.
“We played with a lot of energy in the first games, but could not keep it going in the fourth game,” reported Warriors head coach Marc Denitz. “I was really proud of the way we competed.”
Ben O’Hara finished with six kills and a team-high six blocks. Jesus Ortega had 21 assists and Joey Gamez totaled eight kills. Erik Arichinega recorded four aces to help win Game 3.
The Warriors finished fourth in the Tri-Valley League this season to reach the playoffs.
