Santa Barbara High’s boys volleyball team will be back in action on Tuesday as it plays in the CIF Southern California Division 2 Regional Tournament.
The Dons (21-10), the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 runners-up, travel to Eagle Rock (38-8), the L.A. City Section Division 2 champion, for a first-round match in the eight-team bracket. The winner of that match plays either La Costa Canyon of Carlsbad or L.A. Cathedral in the semifinals on Thursday.
The championship is Saturday at Santiago Canyon College.
Esperanza, which beat Santa Barbara for the CIF-SS Division 2 championship last Saturday, is the tournament’s top-seeded team. The Aztecs open against Venice of the L.A. City Section.
The other first-round match pits La Jolla against South Pasadena.
