Dos Pueblos advanced past Arroyo Grande in Tuesday’s CIF boys volleyball opener, posting a 19-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-22 decision over the Pac-7 League champion in a Division-2 match.
The Chargers were led by Jackson Wopat’s 12 kills and two blocks. Cameron Fry and Drew Kenyon added nine kills each, with Fry providing a defensive presence at the net with five blocks.
“Overall it’s a nice win. Arroyo Grande is the real deal. That’s a very good team so hopefully it prepared us for Thursday’s match,” said Chargers head coach Chris Hughes.
Dos Pueblos (13-4) will likely be hosting either Millikan or Burroughs Burbank.
Arroyo Grande finishes its season with a 17-3 record.
