Dos Pueblos’ baseball team hit a roadblock in the CIF Division-2 playoffs on Tuesday at Cypress as the Centurions claimed a 10-1 victory over the Chargers.
Nolan Soto knocked in DP’s one run in the first inning, giving the Chargers a brief 1-0 advantage.
Cypress answered with four runs in the bottom half of the inning, highlighted by a two-run homer by Nick Valdez.
Cypress’ Trevor Hall pitched a complete game and scattered six hits – three to Soto.
Cypress, the No. 25 team in California according to Maxpreps, advances to Friday’s quarterfinals with a 23-9 record.
