The Santa Barbara athletic community always has a presence at the Boston Marathon and this year was no different.
As the details of what happened in Boston unfold, many in Santa Barbara have been seeking information about friends and family known to be competing in today’s Boston Marathon.
Thirty-five individuals registered to run listed Santa Barbara as their hometown. Another eight individuals listed Goleta or Carpinteria.?Of those, 24 have finishing times and placements published to the Boston Marathon website. Not all those registered actually were in Boston to participate.
Updates – all positive so far – are streaming in on the Santa Barbara Triathlon Club’s Facebook page.
