Dos Pueblos junior Addi Zerrenner finished ninth in the girls seeded 3200 meters at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational track and field meet on Friday night.
The Chargers sent some of their distance runners to the track on the first day of a two-day meet that traditionally draws top athletes from all over the country.
Zerrenner ran 10:53.21. Sydney Badger of Nevada-Centennial, which won 3000 and 1500 at the Santa Barbara Easter Relays, took first place in 10:40.7
For the boys, DP’s Max Davis ran 9:18.21 to finish fourth in the third heat of the 3200, which was won by Zachary Wims of Canyon Country-Canyon in 9:13.87. Cole Smith of the Chargers finished seventh in the first heat in 9:32.13. Sean Newcomb of Walla Walla, Wash. won in 9:15.76.
