SBCC received an at-large berth for the Southern Cal Regional men’s tennis playoffs and is seeded No. 7.
The Vaqueros (8-5), who tied for second in the WSC with Glendale at 5-3, will play a quarterfinal match on Tuesday at No. 2 College of the Desert at 2 p.m.
There are three WSC teams in the eight-team field — No. 1 Ventura, No. 5 Glendale and No. 7 SBCC.
Coach Lance Kronberg returned to coach the Vaqueros this year and led them to their first playoff appearance since 2001, when he was the coach and guided them to their last WSC title.
SBCC traveled to Palm Desert for its season opener this year and fell to Desert 7-2. Desert has won 13 state titles with the last one coming in 2011.
