Cate’s boys tennis team picked up an 11-7 rivalry win over Thacher on Wednesday.
The Rams won five-of-six sets in the opening round to make the difference in the match on a hot day in Ojai.
Cate was pretty balanced, winning five points in singles and six in doubles. Alex Erling and Parker Gribb led the way by sweeping their three sets at No. 1 doubles.
In singles, Jack Hoover and Brendan Lokre both won two-of-three. Also winning two-of-three were the doubles teams of Thys Northup/Jason Xiao and Abhay Singh/Michael Nettesheim
Cate, 2-1 in Condor League play, face San Marcos on Friday in non-league action.
