Santa Barbara High’s Jackson Powell and Avery Chernin teamed to win three sets on Wednesday in a 12-6 non-league victory for the Dons’ tennis team.
All players battled gusty winds during the match.
“Because of the wind it was not exactly beautiful tennis but our guys did what they needed to do to win the match,” reported Dons head coach Greg Tebbe.
All three Santa Barbara singles players – Graham Maassen, Ryan Chung, and Morgan Hale – won 2-of-3 sets.
Santa Barbara hosts Mira Costa on Friday.
