Santa Barbara High’s starting doubles teams went undefeated in Thursday’s Channel League match with San Marcos as the Dons recorded a 13-5 win.
The result makes Santa Barbara 3-0 in league play while San Marcos falls to 1-2. Both teams have one more match before getting to the half-way point if their league seasons.
The Dons won eight-of-nine doubles sets in all, led by sweeps from the teams of Austin Trevillian/Ryan Chung and Jackson Powell/Logan Lender.
San Marcos’ highlight came from Petar Jivkov, who swept three sets in singles. Jivkov is now 9-0 in Channel League sets this season.
