Mason Casady and Joshua Wang continued their strong play in doubles, but it wasn’t enough to help Dos Pueblos in a non-league boys tennis match against No. 8-ranked Mira Costa.
The Mustangs (15-2) won the close sets and took the match 12-6 on Saturday.
“In the close sets, making more unenforced errors than the opponent changed the outcome of the set,” said DP coach Liz Frech. “We did not convert the sets we needed to convert.”
Casady-Wang improved to 34-2 on the season with their sweep at No. 1 doubles.
In singles, Patrick Corpuz won two sets, losing only to Mira Costa No. 1 Evan Han.
