Carpinteria won seven of nine singles set, but it wasn’t enough as the Warriors fell to Oak Park 11-7 in a Tri-Valley League boys tennis match on Tuesday.’
“We made big strides over the last time we played them and, if we had a little luck on our side, we could have taken a few more,” Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant said.
Oak Park finished the TVL tied for second place.
Ben Murray swept his three sets at No. 2 singles, while Jonathon Cleek and Collin Nathanson
each went 2-1.
Carpinteria is now 6-12 overall and 2-5 in the TVL.
