Bishop Diego’s Spencer Ekola won the singles title at the Frontier League Tournament on Tuesday while Andre Kohansamad and Johnny Ford made it a clean sweep for the Cardinals by winning the doubles title.
Ekola breezed to the singles title with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Santa Clara’s Nico Berrichoa. Ekola advanced in Monday’s semifinals with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Villanova’s Sean Burke. Berrichoa topped Bishop Diego’s Tyler Greenwald in the other semifinal.
Kohansamad and Ford defeated St. Bonaventure’s Michael Frank and Brendan Walker 6-3 2-6 6-2 to win the doubles championship.
Both champions were the top seeds going into the tournament.
