The Channel League Swimming & Diving Championships kicked off on Monday with the diving competition.
Santa Barbara High’s Claire Lindstrom claimed the girls title. Lindstrom is a first-year diver who has been working with dive coach Jenn Elliott. Dons teammate Nina Enholm placed 4th.
San Marcos sophomore Cassie Colegrove placed second.
On Santa Barbara’s boys side, Ryan Cullen was the highest finisher for the dons at 5th. Kyle Davis placed 6th and Carter Kimball was 7th.
The swimming prelims are Tuesday and Wednesday, and Finals for both boys and girls are Thursday at Dos Pueblos.
