Santa Barbara High’s boys and girls swim teams swept San Marcos on Wednesday in the Dons’ pool.
The Dons boys were led by Ben Brewer’s victories in the 200 IM and 500 Free. Cristian Bridley (200 Free), Tyler Heffernan (50 Free), Peter Loomis (100 Fly), Skyler Matthews (100 Free), and Cuyler Gabriel (100 Back) all won individual races.
Santa Barbara, with both teams at 2-0 in Channel League competition, host Thousand Oaks on Tuesday.
The Santa Barbara girls performance was highlighted by Kelsey O’Brien’s season bests while winning the 50 and 100 Free. Sierra McNeel-Moore (100 Back) and Maddie Trabucco (100 Breast) won individual races and were on two winning relays. Sophie Trabucco placed 2nd in the 200 and 500 Free. Stephanie Cormack placed 2nd in the 100 Fly and 100 Back in her debut.
Spencer Kemp countered for the Royals with a victory in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.14. Austin Howard gave San Marcos a victory in the diving competition.
Also swimming well for the Royals was George Keusis, who returned from a shoulder injury to place second in the 100 free and third in the 200 free.
