Chloe Madill and Alyssa Lewis homered and pitcher Veronika Gulvin struck out 15, leading the Dos Pueblos softball team to a 10-2 Channel League win over San Marcos on Tuesday.
Madill had a big day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run homer. Lewis hit a solo homer to start a five-run fifth inning for the Chargers (13-2-1, 5-2).
San Marcos took a 1-0 lead against Gulvin and the Chargers in the first inning. Stephanie Swann doubled in Jen Barajas, who drew a walk.
The Royals scored their second run in the sixth. Swann doubled and scored on a hit by Kristen Berlo.
Gulvin threw a complete game, allowing just two hits and walking one.
The teams meet again on Thursday at DP.
