Annelise Lopez held Dos Pueblos to four hits on Thursday as Buena was able to shut out the Chargers 1-0 in a Channel League game that was decided in the bottom of the eighth inning.
It was the first time the Chargers have been shut out this season. Dos Pueblos had just done the same thing to Buena two days before. When all was said and done, Buena claimed 2-of-the-3 all important league games with Dos Pueblos this season.
Lopez scored the walk-off run for the Bulldogs on a triple and an error.
Chloe Madill and Maddy Buie recorded two hits each for Dos Pueblos. Pitcher Veronika Gulvin finished with 12 strikeouts.
