Bishop Diego’s boys volleyball team came from behind in Tuesday’s Tri-Valley League match to beat Malibu 25-27, 32-30, 25-19, 18-25, 17-15.
“We gained some much needed fifth game experience,” said Cardinals head coach Jason Donnelly.
Bishop Diego won the two closest sets: the second game 32-30 and the fifth 17-15.
Grant Sexton recorded team-highs with 16 kills and eight digs.
Jose del Campo collected 10 kills, seven digs and five blocks while Will Busch added nine kills and six digs.
The Cardinals upped their TVL record to 5-2 heading into a match with Carpinteria on Thursday.
