Josh Tedeschi and Dos Pueblos’ baseball team recorded a 9-0 shutout of Buena on Tuesday while outhitting the Bulldogs 18-4.
The result moves the Chargers into first place in the Channel League standings with a record of 3-1. Santa Barbara is 3-2 and Ventura 2-2. Buena falls to 2-3.
Tedeschi combined with Daniel Buratto on the shutout while limiting Buena to four hits. Tedeschi pitched five innings and Buratto two.
Nine of DP’s 18 hits went for extra bases, all of which were doubles. Ben York, Dylan Rohde and Luke Coffey had two each. Anthony Spiritosanto, Brian Cho and Gabe Speier added to the total.
Rohde was 4-for-4 with three RBI. Coffey and York had three-hit days and recorded two RBIs each.
Will Walker was 2-for-3 for the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
The two teams play again on Friday at Dos Pueblos, where the Chargers will be going for a season sweep of the Bulldogs.
